Cub Zone

ABOUT OUR CENTER…

Welcome to CUB ZONE PRESCHOOL where our goal is to provide a safe, caring environment that allows children the opportunity to learn and develop.

CUB ZONE PRESCHOOL will provide quality childcare for children ages Infant-12 years.  We are a full-time facility, but will also offer care for drop-ins provided there is space available.

Curriculum

Each class will have a curriculum appropriate to their age/development level.  These curriculums are posted in your child (rens) classroom for you to view. There will be a designated time each day for each class to play outdoors (weather permitting).

Meals & Snacks

We will provide a morning and afternoon snack and a lunch that meets the children’s nutritional needs.  Breakfast snack is served between 7:30 and 8:00am.  You may bring in food for breakfast for you child and we will serve them, but please do not bring snacks such as, chips cookies, candy or sweets for breakfast.  Lunch will be served at 11:00 am.  Afternoon snack will be served between 2:30 and 3:30pm.

Transportation

We will provide transportation to and from Gunter Elementary.  The Gunter ISD school bus will bring the afternoon children to the center.  If your child must arrive early or stay late for any reason you will be responsible for their transportation.

Hours of Operation

Our hours of operation are 6:30am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday.  Late fees are $1.00 per minute for every minute after 6:30pm and are due to the teacher at the center when you arrive.  Please be on time.

Tuition & Fees

There is an annual enrollment fee of $50.00 at the time of enrollment or August of each year.    There will also be a $30.00 supply fee due upon enrollment or by July 15th each year.  This $30.00 supply fee will replace the supply list we previously used.  Infants (0-17 months) will not be required to pay the supply fee.  Tuition is due on Monday each week.  If tuition is not paid by Tuesday Close of Business of that week, a $20.00 late fee will be due.  If your child (ren) are absent at anytime full tuition is still due in order to hold your spot(s).  You will receive a tuition agreement upon enrollment and anytime there is a change or adjustment in your child (rens) tuition.

Enrollment

ALL APPROPRIATE ENROLLMENT FORMS, MEDICAL RELEASE FORM, SHOT RECORDS FORM AND THE PARENT GUIDE TO DAYCARE MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE CUB ZONE PRESCHOOL WILL CARE FOR YOUR CHILD(REN).  THERE ARE NO EXEPTIONS TO THIS RULE DUE TO STATE INSPECTIONS.

Arrival & Departure

Sign In & Out

Parent’s are required to sign-in each child upon arrival and upon departure.  Children will only be released with proper ID and authorization from the enrollment form.  If someone other than parents will be picking up your child, the office is to be notified ahead of time.  The center has no legal authority to refuse to release a child to either parent unless a court has granted temporary legal custody to one parent or a third party.  In such cases, the Center must be furnished with a copy of the order with the signature of the court.

Clothing & Personal Belongings

Your child will have many opportunities to experience a variety of activities.  Simple clothing that is washable will allow your child to participate comfortably in playground activities, and messy art activities.  Each child will need at least one complete set of clothing at school.  Please mark all personal belongings for easy identifications such as coats, sweaters, blankets, pillows, etc.

Children are not allowed to bring personal toys or article from home, this causes disruption in the classroom. We cannot replace lost articles.  You must provide a small blanket and small pillow for quiet time. They will be sent home every Friday or as needed for washing.  Please return them on Monday.  We will provide each child a mat.

Emergency Drills

Emergency drills are held periodically to familiarize your child with evacuation procedures.  This may make quite an impression on your child the first time a drill is held, but your child will soon become accustomed to it and know just what to do in the event of an emergency.  Fire drills are practiced monthly.
